Brian J. Miller is particularly interested
in the uses of computers in the commission of crimes, as well as
the use of the computer an investigative tool. In January 2000,
Mr. Miller joined the United States Army Criminal Investigation
Command, and has been actively involved in the investigation of
a broad spectrum of felony offenses to include fraud, economic espionage,
electronic distribution of child pornography and crimes of violence.
Mr. Miller received his appointment as a Special Agent in 2001 and
is currently assigned to the Hawaii Field Office, where his investigative
focus involves crimes against children.
A native of Western Pennsylvania, where
he attended Saint Francis College as a psychology undergraduate,
Mr. Miller earned a Master of Arts degree from Goddard College,
Plainfield, Vermont. After graduation in 1995, Mr. Miller worked
as a psychiatric therapist with Castle Medical Center, Kailua, Hawaii.
But his love of cold winters led him back to Western Pennsylvania,
where Mr. Miller established and served as the Director of the Northern
Cambria Drop-In Center, a rural community mental health educational
and social facility. Then, the memories of Hawaii took their hold
and Mr. Miller moved his family back to the land of sunshine and
beautiful beaches. Brian and Lisa Miller are the proud parents of
Benjamin, Ethan, and the baby Andrew who was born in December, 2001.
